Optometrist

Dr. Laurence Wong was born in Hong Kong, China, and moved to Houston in the early 90s. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology 1996 from the University of Houston.

Dr. Wong further completed his doctor of optometry program at the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO) with Magna Cum Laude in 2002. While in optometry school, he participated in myopia research programs where he was selected as a National Institute of Health (NIH) summer research fellow and a student presenter at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) meeting.

Dr. Wong began his career in the Katy area and after several years of serving the community, he decided to make it his home. Dr. Wong served as an adjunct faculty at the University Of Houston College Of Optometry. He has trained over hundreds of optometrists who are now practicing in the greater Houston area including Katy.

He enjoys all aspects of vision care including from simple astigmatic and multifocal contact lens fitting to complicated Scleral lenses fitting for post-refractive (LASIK and Radial Keratotomy) and keratoconus patients. His clinical interest is myopic progression control with Orthokeratology or corneal reshaping therapy. Dr. Wong keeps up with current myopia control clinical updates by attending the Orthokeratology meeting annually by the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopic Control (AAMOC). He also lectured on Ortho-K lens design in Orthokeratology conferences the U.S and Canada since 2018.

On May 16, 2019, Dr. Wong was recognized as a Fellow of International Academy of Orthokertology and Myopia Control (FIOAMC) by the AAMOC. There are about 180 fellows worldwide. He is one of the eight fellows in the Houston area.

Dr. Wong also serves as a Principle Investigator of Contact Lens Clinical Trial for Johnson and Johnson Vision Care and Cooper Vision.   He is also a board member and International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopic Control Fellowship testing committee member of the AAOMC.

Optometrist

Dr. Tracey Wong grew up in North Houston area as a young child and attended Klein Forest High School. She went on to study at the University of Houston where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston.

Dr. Tracey Wong received her doctorate degree in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO) in 2005. During her studies she received a number of awards and clinical excellence recognition. This includes “Excellence in Contact Lens Service” presented by Ocular Science (now Cooper Vision) and letters of excellence from many different faculties at UHCO. Prior to graduation, she completed her externship training with retinal specialist, Dr. Charles A Garcia at St Joseph´s Hospital, Good Neighbor´s Community Clinic, and Richmond State School for patients with traumatic brain injuries. Dr. Tracey Wong´s clinical interests are contact lenses, dry eye disease and retinal pathologies. She specializes in management of dry eye using the first and only FDA-approved Lumenis Optilight.  In addition, She also participates in Contact Lens Clinical trial as sub-investigator for Johnson and Johnson Vision Care. She is also a supporter of future optometric education and recently made contribution to the University of Houston Vision Institute Fund.

Upon graduation, Dr. Tracey Wong began working in the Katy area and has decided to make it her permanent home. Dr. Tracey Wong's hobbies include interior designing, painting, and traveling. She is married to Dr. Laurence Wong. They currently reside in Katy, Texas.
